Grendel, 2005/6, Installation: Wallpainting, Gnome Figurine w/ diodes, Military Binoculars. K48 Campground, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, San Fransisco, CA // John Connelly Presents, New York, NY

Wall-mounted night vision binoculars are directed towards a black cave-like wall painting in the corner of the group exhibition.  A black gnome figurine is situated in front of the “cave”.  Through the night-vision binoculars, the viewer sees a drawing of a beast that appears to be skewing the head of the gnome with a stick.
