< Projects Triptych (205"x104", Acrylic on canvas), CCTV system. S.M.A.K., Gent, Belgium Installation || Works on Paper  Installation view: triptych (left), monitors (center) and cctv cameras (right). Four cctv video monitors show surveillance footage of viewer(s) standing in-front-of (or walking-past) a large painting. The painting as seen initially by the viewer(s) appears entirely black, until viewed on the video monitors that feature live and delayed infrared surveillance footage in which the underpainting of a landscape is visible. The painted landscape depicts a photograph by Albert Steiner, showing a shepherd and his flock in front of the Morteratsch Glacier at the foot of the Bernina group (Bernina, Piz Palu) circa 1930.
